Ruby City HGW - Plotting post for the showdown with Sephiroth where Davesprite dies!

OUTLINE SO FAR:

> Xion and Dave (Team Sabersprite), on the basis of Waver's previous post about Team Seph, engage them when they see Sephiroth patrolling the city by air. They decide to try to lure Seph into a more secluded area but only make it as far as the stables.
> The fight begins - Davesprite vs. Sephiroth, with Xion and Elena on the sidelines.
> WHILE THAT IS HAPPENING, Xion contacts Waver and Lamont (Team Eyebrows and Hair)
> Waver then contacts Roxy (Team Robots), and Saber (Team Big Guns). Roxy contacts Dirk.
> Team Eyebrows and Hair arrive on scene.
> Triple tagging between Davesprite, Seph, and Waver. Lamont uses a Command Seal on Waver to give him a boost.
> Xion and Lamont are well out of the way, and likely also discussing things.
> THE FATAL BLOW IS STRUCK
> Elena uses a Command Seal to keep Sephiroth from going after Xion.
> Team Robots and Team Big Guns arrive just in time to see that happen. (Is Waver out of commission at this point as well?) I guess this is where they step in to keep Sephiroth busy while...
> Davesprite dies (three-way thread with Xion and Dirk).
> Sephiroth uses Supernova, and Tieria likely also uses his Noble Phantasm. Seph and Elena get away while everyone else scatters.

Outline looks good, sounds like you guys pretty much got the details together. Except for perhaps how it ends? I -was- thinking showing off Noble Phantasm towards the end since there will be a lot of people in the surrounding area and a big meteor coming crashing from the sky would get all sorts of people to scatter and could also provide a cover for Sephiroth/Elena to get away?? Also are we still planning this for Day 6 - only because Elena still needs to learn about Command Seals, in the meantime, from a little fight thing we've plotted with Aerith/Fang...

THE BASIC IDEA RIGHT NOW: Xion is going to contact Waver and Waver alone before the fight. Waver will then contact both Roxy and Saber. Roxy will be the one to either notify Dirk, or just fuckin bring him along. So that's for you guys to work out!

Roxy, Dirk, and Tieria will arrive 15 minutes late with Starbucks, so they won't be able to help in the battle, but Dirk will get some last words in with Davesprite. Asher and I are fine either way with a three-way Dirk/Xion/Davesprite thread, or if you'd rather Dirk have bro-time with Davesprite, we can do two two-way threads (Xion and Davesprite, Dirk and Davesprite). Asher and I are both fine with breaking spacetime for this, so if you wanna go with two two-way, that's for sure fine with both of us.

I ALSO WANTED TO ASK YOU IF YOU WANTED XION AND DIRK TO TALK during this lead-up to Davesprite's death! Y'WANNA THREAD. :U

hummmm bum bum bum day 6 is gonna be which day. friday. friday, right? I, PERSONALLY, WOULD PREFER DAY 7. Xion and Davesprite are going to be getting into a battle I thiiink tomorrow so one day of downtime would be helpful. If you'd prefer day 6 we can make that work! I leave it up to you.

as for the meteor... there's going to be a LOT of people showing up. will it... actually kill everybody, or... is it more going to be for show to give Seph and Elena cover to escape? If it's the latter that's fine. If it's the former that... might not work. Since the current cast of characters that will be on the scene is:

Davesprite, Xion, Waver, Lamont, Roxy, Tieria, Dirk, Saber, Rip, Elena, and Sephiroth. (I think that's everyone!)

And as far as I know there's no plans for anybody to die but Davesprite. :U

ANYWAY, MEG IS RIGHT: we should definitely flesh out how the fight begins! do you have any particular feeling about how you'd like that to go? should we figure it out in the thread when we thread it?? (I think that would be fine, as long as we have the set-up pre-established, as in: where and when they're going to run into each other.) Xion and Davesprite will feel the need to stop Sephiroth or at least slow him down until backup arrives; is Seph gonna be willing to engage a couple of stubborn kids?

ALSO: I know Asher's personal wish is for Davesprite to receive his mortal blow while physically protecting Xion. Would that be ok with you, and would Sephiroth leave Xion alive ... to, you know, witness Davesprite die :U (I FEEL LIKE I ALREADY ASKED YOU THIS AND YOU ALREADY TOLD ME.)

I only suggested Day 6 as I think this was discussed with Meg before but Day 7 works just as well! downtime is good!

I thought more of the Supernova being used after the death scene (cos I imagine if they stuck around others would want to fight) and then 'everyone scatter' while Seph/Elena get away but you're right in that it probably would hurt everyone in its range so if that's not suitable for that reason I can drop it - it's intended as more of a cover OCly, ICly he'd wanna take out as many as possible all in one go if they're foolish enough to all come together like that. (orz he's a dick)

As for fleshing out the start, I read somewhere above that Davesprite is also a flyer? This really opens where we could initiate the fight. Sephiroth will be sky & rooftop-patrolling the city throughout the War so they could actually engage in the sky and then perhaps make for the outskirts/border of the City for more room - unless more building damage? As for Sephiroth engaging kids, if the Grail picked them then he needs to kill them, simple as. As long as he's kept entertained within the fight he'd be happy enough to play along with the kids' advances; he'd already be certain he's going to win in the end.

With regards Davesprite final-blow, if Xion got close enough his first reaction would be to kill her right after. However Elena could interfere and shout for him to back off - he's going to already have had a Command Seal used on him by this point and probably wouldn't want it again, so he'd settle in this case for only a Servant, not a Master death. He'd probably stick around to watch the death scene as well - he loves destroying people.

I had a huge paragraph here about the Supernova but then you noted that Seph would love to stick around for the death scene. which is hilarious and so macabre. YOU'RE A SICK PUPPY, SEPHIROTH. if he waits to use Supernova until after Davesprite is toast, I think that would work actually! Everyone could bolt, Lamont could then have good reason to grab Xion and abscond, and it'd triply reinforce the danger Sephiroth presents. Of course, we'll need to clear this with modly mods and all the other players involved; it might be a good idea tomorrow to put a new top-level comment on this post goin EVERYONE OK WITH A FUCKIN METEOR COMING TO KILL US and point everyone's attention to it. |Db

Anyway: yes, he is! Davesprite is a birdy person and he has wings. SO SURE, WE COULD TOTALLY DO THAT. Xion and Davesprite stick to roofs a lot anyway. OH MAN A SUPER DRAMATIC ROOFTOP BATTLE TO THE DEATH, THAT'S AWESOME. and lmfao sephiroth. you're such a dick. THAT SOUNDS GREAT TO ME!

Xion will be right close nearby for the death blow; she'll race over and hold Davesprite while he fades away. So yeah, we'll probably need Elena to force him to hold back, or a few of the other fighters could step in and block him - there will be plenty of heroes on deck to do that.

SO BASICALLY, TWO THINGS: we gotta okay the meteor with everyone at large, and we gotta figure out how to keep sephiroth from brutally murdering xion. Top-level comment tomorrow with both those things should do it, I think! Or I could even just post it now and ping all the relevant parties on plurk or via PM. :B
